TOKYO, February 26, 2026 – SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 will take place from April 27 to April 29 at Tokyo Big Sight, convening global innovators to explore how technology can shape more resilient, inclusive and sustainable cities.
Organised by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the conference has grown into Asia’s largest global innovation platform, with more than 700 startups expected to participate and approximately 60,000 attendees anticipated in 2026.
Shaping Human-Centred Cities
The 2026 edition focuses on four key areas: AI, Robotics, Resilience and Entertainment.
Beyond technological advancement, the programme emphasises how innovation can improve everyday life, strengthen communities and support inclusive urban development.
The Resilience track highlights technologies designed to protect cities from natural disasters and climate-related risks, including infrastructure tours that offer insights into how Tokyo safeguards its urban population.
In AI and Robotics, discussions will examine how emerging technologies are transforming work, collaboration and social systems, with leaders exploring how humans and AI can coexist productively in future societies.
Diverse Leadership on the Global Stage
The speaker lineup reflects cross-sector diversity, bringing together executives, researchers and ecosystem leaders from Japan and abroad.
The conference also convenes global investors and city leaders, including through the G-NETS Leaders Summit, to discuss sustainable urban futures.
More than 20 countries and regions will host pavilions, creating opportunities for cross-border exchange and global ecosystem building.
Youth at the Heart of Innovation
A distinctive feature of SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 is its strong youth engagement. Through the student-led ITAMAE initiative, students will independently plan and operate sessions and pitches, manage venue operations, and support international startups through internship programmes.
The final day of the conference will be designated as a Public Day, offering interactive workshops and hands-on technology experiences aimed at inspiring the next generation of innovators.
Positioned as part of Tokyo’s 2050 Strategy to empower startups globally, SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 seeks to create a collaborative platform where technology, leadership and community intersect to build cities that work for everyone.
