MADRID – European fintech platform Toqio has appointed Dafna Martin Beltran as the Head of Sales for New Markets. She is expected to help the business expand to more markets within Europe. 

The FinTech SaaS provider has offices located in London, Madrid and Nairobi, while the team is spread across five countries. It had raised a funding of €8m from sexual investors including Seaya Ventures, Speedinvest and SIX FinTech Ventures in July 2021. The start-up has already expressed its plans to expand within Europe and get into the US. In her new role, Dafna will oversee the European expansion which will focus on countries like Germany, France and Spain while being stationed at the Madrid office.

In a statement released by the company regarding her appointment, she was quoted saying, “Toqio enables any business, not just banks, to create game-changing, data-driven, finance propositions that can be rapidly deployed to their customers where and when they need it. The team is exceptional and I am delighted to join them as we scale across the European market.” 

She went on to say that the current state of the industry that makes add-on services like payments, lending and bank accounts important for financial corporations provides a huge opportunity for Toqio’s SaaS solution. 

Before taking over this role, Dafna has worked in the marketing domain for carried businesses like online payment portal Amadeus, multinational card provider American Express among several companies. At the former, she was a part of the team responsible for bringing virtual cards solutions that help seamless payment solutions to the corporate in the travel industry.
